Jimmy Nielsen is a Danish former professional goalkeeper and accomplished coach with extensive experience in the U.S. and Europe. Nicknamed “The White Puma,” he played more than 400 professional matches across Denmark, England, and The U.S., winning the 2013 MLS Cup as captain of Sporting Kansas City.
After retiring, Nielsen transitioned into coaching, serving as Head Coach of OKC Energy FC in the USL Championship and later as an assistant manager for Houston Dynamo FC in Major League Soccer, contributing to high-performance environments and first-team operations. He has also worked across leading youth academies, helping develop players for the professional pathway.
Nielsen now brings his leadership, tactical knowledge, and elite coaching standards to Oklahoma United FC as the club enters a new phase of growth and ambition.
